William Henry Aeger
December 03, 1928 - December 12, 2007
William Henry Aeger, 79, died December 12, 2007 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Savannah, son of the late Charles Conrad Aeger and Verb Shuman Aeger. Mr. Aeger served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and in the Georgia Air National Guard. He was retired from Kaiser Chemical and was co-owner of A & S Printing. Bill was a member of the Exchange Club of Savannah, Ambucs, Greater Athletic Hall of Fame, Old Timers Softball Club, American Legion Post No. 184 and a communicant of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed his vegetable garden, cooking and teaching his grandchildren how to fish and crab.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, JoAnne W. Aeger of Savannah; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl Aeger Gay and Eddie Gay; Susan Aeger Su and Claude Su; Vicki Aeger Bradley and Jim Bradley all of Savannah; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Bill McAlum of Savannah; Madeline and Martin Lavake of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Sara Cozart and her husband, Joe; Joshua Gay, Laura Su, Catherine Su, Ryan Su, Rebecca Bradley, Jay Bradley, William Thomas Bradley; one great grandson, Ben Cozart and a number of nieces and nephews. His brother, Charles C. Aeger, Jr., preceded him in death.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2007 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral: 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 15, 2007 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Burial: Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
